52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge - Week 4/A Family Member
So, last week was Week 3 of the 52 weeks of Gratitude Challenge, which was all about family. This week is about a specific family member, and for that, I'm going to write about my Mom. If you know me, you know that me and my Mom are extremely close. I would even go as far to say she's one of my best friends. I share the majority of my life with her, and she's the one I go to with all my problems, good news, bad news, gossip etc. She's also been my rock over the past 21 years, she's been there for me when it gets tough, and when I really need someone to lean on. She's taken me to doctors appointments, stayed by my side in hospital, looked after me when I'm sick, been my personal taxi, payed for a hell of a lot of things, loved me, supported my decisions and gave me a warm home. I can't thank her enough for everything she's done for me over the years!
I guess I'm writing this, because as people you do, you take people for granted. You don't appreciate them enough, and forget what they've done for you and are still doing for you. Mom, if you're reading this (which I know you will be), I love you very much, and thank you for everything you've done for me! You'll also probably be crying at the end of this, for which I do apologise.
