New Self-Help Book Finds

I was recently contacted by Watkins to see if I wanted to review any of their books. I had a look on their site, and already I was hooked. It's literally a website which is made for me (I think!). I want all their books on their site, as I think they're all ever so helpful! I picked two to start with, and I wasn't disappointed.  The first I read was 'You Can Sleep Well'* by Chris Idzikowski, and I found it so informative. It has different chapters on different sleep problems, so obviously I went straight to the Insomnia section. It told me to get up at the same time every day, and boy has it helped! I'm normally asleep by half 11 now, which is a great improvement to my usual 4/5 AM!

The next book I chose was Cognitive Behaviour Therapy* by Avy Joseph. I am a big believer in CBT, so of course I was going to pick up a book to do with it! The book contains various techniques on how to change your thinking patterns. It's such a life-changing book. It really does give you motivation and drive to want to help yourself and sort your thought patterns out. I couldn't recommend it more!

Do you have any self-help books you swear by? I'd love to read them!

  4. The Cognitive-Behavioral book looks interesting! I've been learning about that at University lately (psychology major) and it would be cool to know how to use that for yourself!

  5. These books both look so interesting! I could definitely use all the help I can get with insomnia at the moment, as unfortunately I'm really struggling with it as a side effect from my medication.

I'll have to have a look at this website now!
