My 8 Goals & Resolutions for 2017

Watkins Publishing

Here it is, the time for those good ol' New Years Resolutions! I had a pretty good 2016, considering how shit it was, and you can read all about that in my previous post all about my year last year. But, this year, I want to carry on bettering my self. I feel I done so well last year, considering I was in such an extreme Mental Health rut over the past 3 years. So, now I'm in an even better frame of mind, I feel that 2017 is my year, and I can tackle anything that comes my way, and really reach my goals! 2017 I'm comin' for yaaaaa.

1. Drink More Water
I reaaaally don't drink enough. I think you're supposed to drink around 2.5 litres a day, and I probs drink about 500ml a day at a push (I know, slate me all you want). I think my skin and energy levels have really suffered from it. I've bought myself a fancy (lol) litre bottle from Primark, which should hopefully encourage me to drink 3 litres a day! Booooom.

2. Go to the Gym 3 times a week
I've just joined Pure Gym (literally, just before I wrote this second reso
lution), as one has just opened around the corner from me so it's sooo handy. When I used to gym before, I realised how happier it made me feel, and I had so much more energy. I even wrote a post about how exercise helped me mentally. I was also about 2 stone lighter, so about that..

3. Lose 2 stone
I know you don't have to be skinny to be happy, but personally, I'm not happy with the weight I'm at. I'm only 5ft 2, so I naturally have a teeny tiny frame. I've always been around 8stone, and so at my current weight of nearly 11stone, I don't feel myself. I'm not happy in my clothes, and without my clothes for that matter. So, this year, I will at least get down to 9 stone to increase my confidence and make me feel less sluggish!

4. Blog at least 3 times a week
Blogging has been my hobby since I was 15, nearly 7 years now eeeek. It's one of the main things that makes me happy, and it continues to make me happy every day when I see my blog & following's growing. I really want to improve and grow my blog even more in 2017, so posting more regularly is a must!

5. Learn more about photography
Linking to the point above, photography is a huge part of a blog, Instagram etc. I loved my photography, and practicising different styles and settings and I really want to get back into that. Hopefully I'll have enough money in a few weeks to buy a new camera, and from then on I will try and improve my skills to make my content even better.

6. Finish my degree
I took a year out from Uni last year to focus on my physical & mental health, and I tell ya what, it's been the best thing I ever did. I'm back with a fresh mind and I can't wait to hand in my final piece of work, knowing it was the best I could do. At one point last year I thought I was going to drop out and not finish my degree, so I'm so proud that my mindset has changed and I hope I can work hard enough to get that 2:1 I really want! Fingers crossed eh!

7. Start writing my book/vine
I've had an idea in my head for over a year now, and I think this year is the year I am going to start writing it. I've always wanted to write my own book since I was about 10, and even before that writing was my passion. I don't even mind if it doesn't go anywhere, I'd just be so proud that my hobby and passion for writing would lead me to being able to write my own book or vine!

8. Cook more
I'm sure my boyfriend Adrian will definitely appreciate this New Years Resolution..  I like to cook and I can cook (too some extent) but I'm still not 100% confident with my cooking skills. At the mo', Ade does most of the cooking and I do the cleaning, but I'd like to cook at least a few nights a week to improve my skills and prove Ade wrong that I am a decent cook, tehe. I'd also like to start cooking more recipes from  The Lean In 15 Sustain Plan too.

What are your New Years Resolutions? I'd love to read them!
