A Handmade Copper Dream

I was recently contacted by Banbayu*, to see if I liked the look of any of their homeware. I immediately fell in love with this plate, I mean come on, I'm a blogger. Who doesn't love a copper plate?!  I was already picturing how I was going to style it for my Instagram, ngl.  But, what I fell in love with more was the origins behind the brand and the items the brand sells themselves.

All of Banbayu's items are ethically sourced, and are designed based on the worlds cultures and diversity.  Each piece is handmade and also verified for cultural and ecological sustainability. How nice is that? In my opinion, something that is ethically sourced and hand made is a winner. I just feel that it adds some meaning behind a homeware item, rather than a factory made duplicate that you can buy anywhere! I also found out that Banbayu support the cultures through charitable donations, I mean, what a lovely brand. Now you can see why I was so keen to try a product from them!

At first I couldn't decide what I wanted to use the plate for. I was debating using it as a fruit bowl, a centre piece or even an actual food bowl. But, I decided to use it for jewellery storage. How lovely does it make my jewellery look?! When I move into my new flat I might use it for a fruit bowl though, we shall see what my lil' brain decides. Either way, it's a beautiful homeware piece with a difference, don't you think?

What are your thoughts on hand-made homeware?

  1. This lil copper plate is an absolute dream! I love the sound of the company, too. Really sounds like a company you actually WANT to give your money to, haha!

    Fab post as always xx
